But she also finally (and just in time-one day before Rock’s birthday) reached her goal of becoming the CEO of a Mega-Corporation. Woohoo!!

The sun rose over the horizon with a beautiful pink hue that proceeded the fantastic weather standard for the peaceful town.

The Jackson family woke up and began their day as they had every other day; breakfast, showers, and quiet conversation until the bus or carpool arrived to take them on their way.

And then disaster struck.

An earthquake shook the town. Sirens blared. Sims screamed. And Dirty got to work.

I was so excited. It was three days or so before Rock grew up and Dirty was so close to fulfilling his lifetime wish of saving 30 Sims. Before the earthquake he was at 23 Sims saved. He was 77 but still on top of his game.

The first house he was called to was the Goth household in Sunset Valley. He fixed a gas leak, put out fires, and saved 4 Sims.

It was the coolest thing to see for the first time in game. I’d read they added things like this with Ambitions but it was so exciting to follow Dirty around and seeing all the destruction. Even though the actual saving of Sims wasn’t very challenging. It was still something out of the ordinary.

The second house was a simple small fire. He saved one more Sim.

Then he arrived at a familiar house. His old two bedroom. It was still decorated with all their old furniture and paintings.

He fixed his 3rd gas leak and saved his last Sim of the day. It brought him up to 29 Sims.

It was an exciting day. I followed Dirty for hours while he rushed from site to site but the rest of the family went about their business as usual.

Sam road her bike home from a friends house and arrived just in time for family dinner.

And the next morning Dirty finally reached his goal. With a large house fire and two more Sims trapped by fire. He finally saved his 30 Sims. Yay!!

Samantha had the Artistic & Photographer’s Eye traits (she was also Good) so she spent the holiday painting and taking pictures.

I love China. It’s great for photography.

Since both Dirty’s and Anne’s LTW’s were career related they were free to do as they pleased. Which meant they were usually throwing the football around for hours and hours on end.       

ROCK: “Bailey, don’t just sit around staring at your computer. Clean the dishes!”

It didn’t take long for Sam to increase her painting skill, soon she was painting really pretty pictures I’d never seen before.

BAILEY: “Hmm, this unsolvable math problem is hard to solve!”

ROCK: “I am one with the kitchen floor. Ohmmm..,”

I’d never seen this animation before. Anne is a Snob so she’s always in front of the mirror checking herself out. Every moment she had free she was looking at her beautiful face.

Be careful Anne, you’re getting older. The mirror will not be kind for much longer.

And then it happened, the first member of the Jackson family fulfilled their LTW.

Congratulations Bailey!

Rock achieved Zen and the ability to teleport.

Sam kept painting.

Anne borrowed Bailey’s laptop.

Rock visited the garden and harvested some veggies to increase his gardening skill.

Bailey wanted to increase her athletic skill so I had her jog to the garden to join her brother. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Once she got there she wanted to fish. 

Bailey has the clumsy trait. So a few times when she cast she fell on her bottom. It was so cute! I’d never seen that before either.

But mostly she just enjoyed the sunny day. Even when the fish weren’t biting

Rock joined her when he finished harvesting.

And soon the whole family was standing around the pond with pools in hand. A beautiful end to a wonderful vacation.

This is just a quickie post to sum up the events of the week. Samantha finally grew into a child which meant that the whole family could travel together on vacation for the first time. And since no one in the family had reached their Lifetime Wish yet and Rock was on the verge of becoming a young adult, I needed the extra time the vacation spots afforded. So here are the pictures of Sam’s birthday. She’s a cutie and looks the most like her father of all the kids.

And her post-birthday makeover shot. She’s got her dad’s skin tone, eyes, and mouth but she’s got her moms chin and nose.

He stops the terrible cloud sucking machine just in time and heads home to spend some time with Samantha.

She’d turned into a toddler somewhere between Bailey’s birthday and the Criminal spree.

So cute.

Maybe it was payback for taking all the criminals into jail after securing the clouds of the town, maybe it was just fate but soon after the Jackson home was robbed!

Luckily they had a great security system and the cops arrived before the burglar had even entered the home.

Take that you pesky burglar.

“I’m taking you in.”

“Hands behind your back."

And somehow I totally missed Dirty’s birthday. He gracefully turned into an elder with no celebration. Though he does look a little stunned to suddenly have wrinkles. And where did all his muscles go? Poor Dirty. He’s getting old. But sometimes good things come with age.

Because of his bravery and success he was given yet another award. Goooo Dirty!

I had Bailey grow into a teen two days early because I needed her to get working on her lifetime wish (which she still didn’t have).

I bought two cakes because I wanted to grow up Rock’s friend at the same time since she was still a child.

But when Rock invited her over she was already a teen! And still very cute.

So Bailey grew up alone. Here are some shots after her post-birthday makeover.

She looks so much like her mom it’s awesome! Except she has her dad’s eyes. I gave her the handy trait because I was hoping to give her the Tinkerer lifetime wish if/when it rolled up.

Eventually, Anne gave birth to the third Jackson baby. Another girl named Samantha Jackson. She’s Good and Artistic. She likes Chinese music, Fruit Parfait, and the color lilac. She has her father’s skin tone & eye color.

At this point I had a plan to make sure Bailey was married or “in a relationship” before Rock moved out to start his own life. That way I was hoping that Bailey and her mate would produce more Jackson’s on their own. She really hit it off with Samantha’s babysitter.

They spent a lot of time together in the family living room while Anne read and Dirty watched the cooking channel.

Dirty was at the top of his career and had saved 19 lives then he went to work one day and there was a large house fire. This is a photo of him carrying a toddler to safety, the flames burning behind him. This kid was his 20th life saved. Well on his way to fulfilling his lifetime wish.

Soon Bailey and her new friend were flirting up a storm.

Her parents don’t seem to mind that she’s putting the moves on this guy right in front of them.

And then they were going steady. If all goes well Bailey will never search for love again. 

Soon after their trip to China Anne started showing the symptoms of pregnancy again. And with another baby on the way the Jackson’s needed a bigger place. Before they could move though Dirty got notification that his old friend Claire was getting old and that now would be a good time to pay her a visit.

Though she was up there in age she still smiled at Dirty when she invited him into her home.

He met her family, first Jacquelyn (whom we met earlier in a previous post) who was now an adult. 

Then her son (I forget his name) who looks like the redheaded version of his father Jared Frio.

Here’s Anne in her new maternity pajamas. It’s official, another little one is on the way.

They moved into one of the coastal houses near the ocean with a lighthouse view. It was cute and had enough space for the entire family.

Anne and Dirty were so content and happy they cuddled on the bed.

Dirty was very excited for the new baby and kept getting wishes to listen to, rub, or talk to Anne’s belly. So sweet.

“Hello baby! Peek-a-boo.”

Bailey wasn’t old enough for adventures so I used this time to work on her logic skill. She was a genius and even though I wasn’t sure what her lifetime wish would be I knew it would involve needing high logic skill. So she played a lot of chess in China.

And Rock played a lot of guitar.

Here he is at the Scholar’s Garden strumming away. The Scholar’s Garden is a great place to do learning because of the two major moodlets you get while there: Zen and Beautiful Garden.

I tried to have Bailey play games with her family to help build the relationships while skilling. Here she’s waiting for her mom to come sit with her and practicing her stank face. The one she’ll use during chess tournaments to intimidate her opponents.

Eventually all the playing with family pays off and Bailey and her brother become friends. Here’s a sweet picture of them hugging it out. So sweet. 

Now, Dirty did support Rock’s music choices but he did still push his son to be athletic. Here he is training him on the weight machine at the Academy. “Come on Son, PUSH!”

“You can do it! Think Strong!”

“RAWR!”

They also spent time together sparing.

This was probably the first time they all sat down at the same table. That’s the one thing I don’t like about the home base in China. They never sit at the same table even when they are all called to dinner at the same time. Ugh!

As a child Rock spent a lot of time with this lovely lady. She was their newspaper delivery kid and I thought she was cute. A potential mate for Rock when he grew up. Soon she was his best friend and came over to visit almost everyday.

So when it was time for Bailey to grow up Rock invited his friend over for the party. (Actually she was just there visiting when the cake came out.) 

You can see one of Dirty’s special rewards in this image, the Ax on the wall was given to him fairly early on.

The family gathered around to celebrate Bailey’s age-up day.

And here is Bailey’s post birthday makeover shot. She turned out very cute, with her mom’s hair & chin and her dad’s eyes & mouth.

The house was starting to get a little cramped. I’d redecorated the nursery to become the kids bedroom but it was tiny and barely held two beds.

When Rock’s age-up day came around he’d been out to see a symphony and was stuck on the road home all alone. No special birthday party for Rock this time.

Since Rock had the virtuoso trait I knew he was going to grow up to be in the music career. And to match his rockstar name & talent I gave him a cool makeover. In the image above you can see another of Dirty’s special rewards, the fireman’s jacket. It was given to him after he saved his first two lives.

The very first thing that Rock did when he woke up the next morning was buy a guitar and start practicing. Because of his learning as a toddler he started the guitar skill with 3 points. And even though he’s not that great at this point Dirty seems to be supportive, tapping his foot to the tunes.

What a great dad!
